NEWS: WINGS Donates Food, Clothes, Others To God’s Wives Int’l Ministry

Women Inclusive Network for Growth and Success (WINGS), a female network in Chemical and Allied Products (CAP) Plc, has donated bags of

rice, gallons of oil, pasta, noodles, and others to God’s Wives International Ministry, Lagos State.

The women also donated clothes, toiletries and other items to the widows to make them have a joyous festive period.

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Aramide Nwokediuko, the lead counsel at CAP Plc, said that the donation was part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the group, adding that women wanted to put a smile on the faces of the widows.

She condemned the stigmatization of women in society, stating that widowhood is not a phase of life that should be despised.

She called Nigerians to love and care for widows.

Receiving the items at the Widows Center Maryland, Olori Dame Ayo Yemisi Jaiyeola, the convener of God’s Wives International Ministry, said that the organization and the widows were happy to receive the gift items, adding that they will go a long way in helping to make the widows to have a joyous and happy festive period.

She explained that widows are not taken care of by members of their families in the country, adding that many of them are chased out of the family after the death of their husband.

Olori Jaiyeola disclosed that her organization meets the needs of the widows when it comes to feeding, and provides safe beds for those that are in distress. A major need.

She urged WINGS to continue to support her organization and called on other corporate organizations and kind individuals to do the same as helping can not be too much.

Adetokunbo Akinwale also registered her appreciation for the gesture as it helps her mum’s work for widows.

Pastor Godwin Adetunji of Little Light Shine Foundation, UK, thanked the women for remembering the widows and prayed to God to bless and prosper them.

However, Mrs. Aramide Nwokediuko explained that the objective of WINGS is to create an environment for women in CAP to have the opportunity to grow and thrive, adding that the aim is to help women to succeed, to celebrate them and to empower them.

She disclosed that the women and other members of CAP Plc contributed to the money that was used to buy the items.
