and God’s wives International at the official launch of the Legacy Endowment Funding of Zarephath
(The Widows Shelter in Nigeria)

I respectfully welcome you all my kind-hearted personalities, Royal fathers, ministers of the gospel, government officials, friends and family.
This project of building a TRAINING CENTRE AND SHELTER is not new. Other people have done it before. But, it’s not very common to have such a productive shelter for such very needy widows that need to learn how to support themselves after training in our communities. God had put this in the mind of my husband Dr Yemisi Jaiyeola many years ago in the cause of trying to make widows live better and productive lives after the death of their husbands.
I took it up to continue to run it. Believe in it. To make people laugh when thoughts were tough. Many people advised me to quit, but I chose to persevere. It was tough.
I don’t belong to the group of rich women in the world, No. but I am a woman who never allows my situation to disturb what I need to do. I have had setbacks in this widowhood work...yet I have continued.
I have been lucky to build a team .... and this has helped to drive our activities... The team is not perfect but determined to carry on the work. We are just determined to succeed!!but I’m. We have seen and experienced terrible stigmatization and traumas of widowhood.
Widows face so many amazing challenges.......Terrible friends, negative colleagues, even some in-laws have chosen to pick quarrels leading to battle for life ...the battles are so many and amazing that widows have become an endangered specie
It is far worse for weak widows in our country Nigeria.
I have seen great gain and great loss. This is why caring for 28 widows gradually has grown into over 12,500 in 22 years.
I am a dreamer. My team does the same. Dreams can make people hurt when they do not have people to work with. They could be misunderstood. I asked God to come and help us......he has and we are here.!!
This project will be a landmark. I’m limited in my own power… 1 kings 3; 7b,9… Solomon prayed that. I prayed too to have you all here to do the project with me and my team...and we shall succeed at it together, God willing. Many widows need fresh training and empowerment to become self sufficient.... not just pity.
I have met with lots of people who have been scared for me saying “ how can she do this”? Some who are very rich haven’t seen reasons to help. Some who have only very little have said “ Olori… It will work out fine! I believe them..
Raising Over N200,000,000 can be done in a strategic manner ......if we will see the reason in the offering. Big things always begin small. We need to pray and support with generous donations urgently....
There already is a DESIRE. It’s all it takes. Let’s do it for the 500 widows that will be UNDERGOING TRAINING ONE BATCH AT A TIME after the death of their husbands.
This dream of a training centre cum shelter for widows is like an obsession… A MAGNIFICENT one. I want to save and donate N1,000 weekly for the rest of my life… I urge you to do same. With as low as N500.00 weekly too..it could be paid all together monthly or yearly. Our God of mercies will repay each one of us in full . My dream of a COMPREHENSIVE WIDOWS SHELTER Requires your assistance
Land Owners, Many Homes Owners, Builders, Architects Engineers Painters, Bricklayers, Politicians, Christian Societies/ Organizations, Men/ Women of God, Corporate organizations, Social Clubs
Governments, Local Government Chairmen, Community Leaders, Royal Fathers/ Mothers, Families, Community Leaders, Men of God who believe in James 1: 27 , Companies /Organizations, Widows themselves can help themselves.
This dream is not contrary to the laws of God. He, God loves this project James 1;27.
If we all take part in it… tell our friends and families, colleagues, set up a legacy in our families for life….. Churches, societies, communities…. We shall achieve this in the next five years gradually..It’s a process. We already have A Strong BUILDING COMMITTEE Comprising LAND ADVISERS, ARCHITECTS, ENGINEERS, BUILDERS, INTERESTED PERSONALITIES..
I urge you not to be intimidated. Widowhood is one of the surest things that will definitely happen in more homes, to people on earth. Yes.. Mine came to me exactly 10 years and 10 months ago.. I was not prepared for it at all
The only limitation we can have is if we decide not to get interested in this project.. You are NECESSARY… SIGNIFICANT…. IMPORTANT….. with GOLD MINE in you.
This dream requires your OBSERVATIONS. I’m in love with WIDOWS! Its why I invite you to come to love, support, AND CARE FOR THEM more than you did before.
Be ENERGIZED… ENCOURAGED…. CREATIVE…. JOIN ME! You have ANSWERS…. YOU WILL HAVE YOUR NAMES ON THE BLOCKS, BUILDINGS, PATH WAYS, EVERYWHERE….. so it shall be in heaven.
Welcome once again to you all… You have always been here… you will always be here with us…
Distinguished fathers. mothers, ladies and gentlemen .....IN SUMMARY....
WHY GIVE TO SHWF?
Simply put, without YOU, we can not continue to grow, serve, empower widows everywhere to thrive and plan for the next generation of widows... LIFE AND NATURE WILL CONTINUE TO CREATE WIDOWS !! YES !!
Empowering widows with community, education, resources and inspiration not only benefits HER, but her powerful circles nearest to her heart like her children, family, friends and co-workers too!! All in all, our widow mentoring and leadership model greatly impacts our local communities and country in an enormous way!
We believe that it is vitally important in society to build this new bridge together. No longer is it okay to just offer widows some token grief-resources. THEY ARE JUST UNFORTUNATE PEOPLE. WHO WANT A NEW LEASE OF LIFE. Help them...help them please....to grow and be empowered and to be heard. We are honored to plead with you for this on a daily basis.
No doubt, for the last 10 years, our energetic mission and vision has created some of the most inspiring widow-Support stories around the world.
