LAGOS \u2013 As part of efforts to sus\u00adtain quality leadership, Lion Olori Ayodele Jaiye\u00adola has been installed as the first ever president\u00a0<\/p>\nof the Maryland Royal Lions Club to oversee the affairs and administration of the organisation for 2020\/2021 Lions years.<\/p>\n
The programmed themed \u2018Service as a virtue\u2019 was held on the 5th of February, 2021, at the Onigbagbo Hall, Maryland,Lagos, where members and personalities from all works of life were gathered to witness and show their support to the newly appointed president and other principal officers of the club.<\/p>\n
In an interview with Saturday INDEPENDENT, Jaiyeola said that \u201cI feel good joining other lions all over the world to support the needy and the vulner\u00adable in the society. As the first president of the club, I built the club, manage it and ensure it grows in strength and membership. Secondly, I am the sitting president and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Though the position of the president takes just 12 months, but as chartered president, I will not be step\u00adping down, because the posi\u00adtion of a chartered president is for life.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to her, the es\u00adtablishment of the club is majorly for caring for the needy and the less privi\u00adleged within their area of jurisdiction. She stresses on the need for herself and other club members to bring in more volunteers, who can donate towards the support of the five point lions proj\u00adect and also impacts lives in their environment.<\/p>\n
The chairperson\/speaker of the day, Dr. (Mrs.) Maggie Ibru , founder, ST&T Regen\u00adcy Group of Schools, Lagos, describes the president as a steward of excellence, beau\u00adtiful in and out, \u201cbecause she is truly called by God to serve humanity, which as being proven beyond reason\u00adable doubt.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
